On behalf of the Togolese Government, I would like to extend our warmest welcome to you on the official website of the Embassy of Togo in Pretoria, South Africa. I have been honored and privileged to be appointed by His Excellency Professor Robert DUSSEY, Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad to represent my country Togo in southern Africa. I have gratefully accepted this responsibility, and I am proud and at the same time aware of all the challenges beset by this position. However, I am confident and hope that my presence in this rainbow nation will have a positive impact while the interests and values of the Togolese people are met through effective diplomatic engagement.
Our aim in this user-friendly site is to provide you with up-to-date information regarding the activities of our Embassy and its Consular missions. I hope that through this website, you will be able to find helpful information on political, economic, social and cultural events in Togo, as well as on its relationship with the Republic of South Africa and the other countries such as the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Republic of Botswana, the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Madagascar, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Zambia, the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Seychelles, the Republic of Namibia, the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Kingdom of Lesotho to which the Togolese Embassy is accredited.
The Embassy’s main focus is the promotion of trade, inward investment, tourism, and country image through supporting trade missions, establishing and facilitating contacts between countries and business entities in line with Togo’s vision 2030 on economic development and accelerated growth. Another important duty of the Embassy is to provide information and assistance to its citizens in the Diaspora and encourage them to actively participate in developing Togo and sharing its interest at large.
